MailEnable Mail Server Overview

MailEnable has been chosen by some of the world largest hosting companies as their solution for hosted e-mail and collaboration. The impressive webmail, mobile connectivity, anti-spam and other features have cemented its place as an industry leader.

The best way to experience MailEnable is to download and install the unrestricted free or trial versions, but here is snapshot of what is possible with MailEnable.

Synchronization via SyncML

E-mail, Calendar, Contacts and Tasks on your Mobile

Most modern smartphones have the ability to access e-mail, contacts, calendars, tasks and files that are stored in 'the Cloud'.

MailEnable detects changes made to your contacts and prepares the updates for transmission to the mobile device. Likewise, changes made on your mobile device are transacted to the server.

MailEnable allows mobile phones to synchronize this data via the SyncML, CardDAV, CalDAV and WebDAV. More Info

Microsoft Outlook to its Potential without Microsoft Exchange

Users of Outlook will likely be familiar with the features for personal calendaring, contact management, and task tracking, and MailEnable webmail users will also be aware of these same features supported through the webmail client.

With MailEnable, these two features are connected, fully integrating server hosted e-mail, calendar, contacts and tasks with your Outlook client. Changes made in both Outlook and the webmail client are communicated in real time, updating the client instantly.

Outlook Integration via MAPI Connector
You can schedule an appointment using Outlook when you are at work, add a "To Do" item to your task list, and update the mobile phone number of a contact. Then when you are away from your desk, you can still get access to your information from the webmail client, with all the latest updates made at your work desk.

And, of course, likewise in reverse - if you get a phone call while you are away from your office, and you need to reschedule that appointment, you can use webmail to make the change, and when you get back to your desk, it will be updated, and you won't miss anything.
MailEnable Webmail - Contact Card Look Up

Webmail that works like a Desktop Mail Client

The MailEnable webmail client provides an impressive experience for those accessing e-mail via the browser and is optimized for mobile devices like the iPhone/iPad. Fast access to calendars, tasks and contacts is very important and small things like inline contact cards, streaming of video links, contact photos, and schedules all contribute to the end-user experience.

For example, inline contact cards provide an instant snapshot of the details of the sender, if they have already been added to the Address Book. If the contact does not exist then it will facilitate a means to quickly add it.

Store and Share your Files in the Cloud

MailEnable allows users to store documents, files, images, video etc on the MailEnable server in their 'MyFiles' storage location.

With MyFiles you can use MailEnable as a cloud storage provider and mailbox owners are able to access their "My Files" folder as a network drive over the WebDAV protocol as well publish them to the web community.

For example, a person can take a photo with their iPhone and immediately save it to MyFiles.
